About

New Zealand launched the Climate Finance Capacity Support Programme in 2024 as a means of offering flexible support to countries seeking to:

  • Strengthen their national government systems to develop detailed plans to meet their climate change priorities.
  • Identify and access climate finance from a variety of funders.
  • Deliver and report on climate change

It is a flexible mechanism through which Pacific countries can access support they identify as necessary to increase their capability to plan, access, deliver and report on climate finance and accelerate their responses to climate change.
