Palau
In Palau, the Climate Finance Capacity Support Programme (CFCSP) is assisting the Office of Climate Change (OCC) to implement its new climate policy. The CFCSP is providing technical and project officers to assist Palau to incorporate its climate work more fully into its national budget and improve its vulnerability and risk assessments with more accurate climate data analysis and modelling. The CFCSP will also support Palau’s ambitions to establish domestic legislation to engage in international carbon markets, providing it with an alternative source of financing for future climate action.

Steve Moruri (left) is a Data Analyst at the OCC, within Palau’s Office of the President. In this role, Steve will collaborate with the OCC team to manage greenhouse gas inventories and support the implementation of Palau’s climate policies.
Mitigation Specialist, OFFICE OF CLIMATE CHANGE
Timothy Murphy is a Mitigation Specialist at the Office of Climate Change. In this role, Timothy tracks and reports on developments made against Palau’s Nationally Determined Contribution and provides technical assistance to strengthen the nation’s ability to meet climate mitigation commitments.
