Papua New Guinea
In Papua New Guinea (PNG), the Climate Finance Capacity Support Programme (CFCSP) is supporting the Climate Change and Development Authority (CCDA) to scale-up its ability to drive its national climate actions. Support provided through the CFCSP will assist PNG to strengthen national and provincial governance and coordination mechanisms for delivering national communications and climate adaptation and mitigation REDD+ priorities.
PNG will also utilise the CFCSP to assist the CCDA to reconfigure its structure and policies to manage its increasing staff numbers and ensure climate is embedded in the delivery of PNG’s national Medium Term Development Plan IV.
